Carbide tipped, carbide grit and diamond coated hole saws are specialty saws that give the Starrett hole saw line the ability to cut any material. We have yet to see a material that one of our saws can`t cut. (However, we haven`t tried "kryptonite"!)
Diamond Edge Hole Saws
A diamond coated cutting edge permanently bonded to a tough steel body provides the necessary clearance for cutting at high speeds. They will cut rapidly through reinforced plastics, germanium, asbestos/substitutes and other abrasives that you many not be able to cut with carbide. Saws will produce clean holes and have a long cutting life. The cutting depth is 1 5/8" (41 mm).
